Just like my last review on the Caldwell The T, this cigar's birthplace is also EstelĂ, Nicaragua. Unlike The T, this cigar comes from Nick Perdomo's own cigar factory that produces the entire Perdomo Cigar portfolio. The Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne is on the brand's largest sellers and can be easily found at most B&M stores as well as almost every online retailer.
The cigar comes in a yellow-ish orange cellophane wrapper. Once the wrapper is removed, the hue of the Ecuadorian grown Connecticut wrapper leaf is a medium tan. The tobacco used is sourced from Cuban seed plants grown in Nicaragua. The cigar is available in several vitolas with the one I am reviewing being the Epicure (Toro).
Wrapper: Connecticut
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Length: 6"
Ring Gauge: 54
Size: Toro
The Smoke: This cigar is a nice gentle smoke backed by plenty of flavors. The strength of the cigar is mild to medium like most Connecticut leaf wrapped cigars. The draw of the cigar was good and consist during the entire smoke. The tobacco gives nuances of coffee and nut with slight sweetness that hints of honey and caramel. The cigar held its construction during the entirety of the smoke and had an even burn rate. The ash is solid and occasionally needs to be removed to prevent it falling into your lap.
This 6" cigar was a nice puff for about an hour and half. This is probably the fifth or sixth time I smoked one of these and it has been a consistent smoke each time. The cigar itself a bit light for my palate but I find it enjoyable regardless of its strength. This would be a good starter cigar for beginner smokers.
Score: Buy a 5 Pack
